MY KeePER

I've had this picture on my desk for the past month staring at me. I've been waiting to use it in some way...it's my favorite photo of us from our trip to Las Vegas that doesn't involve a wedding dress or tux (because they are my other favorite pics).

My inspiration...the latest word at OLW.
The arrows are grungeboard that I inked and covered with glossy accents. A little bit of stickles around their edges to make them pop.

Everything else was from the latest Red Velvet Kit found here. I love this paper. My sweetie called it "the partridge family paper" LOL

Ugh...off to work. I agreed to overtime today to make some Christmas bucks!! Really wanted to sleep in though. Can't wait to get home and try out this, which I found yesterday by luck at Michael's. Got it for a steal with at 40% off! Have a good day!!

Yeah for Baseball!!

So hubby came home from work today and declared to me that it was sports night and called dibs on the TV (he is a big Yankee's fan and tonight is the last game at Yankee Stadium).

While I like Baseball, and enjoy watching it....my ears perked up and I immediately said "OK dear...I'll be scrapping"!! Yeah me! I was able to get a layout done!

Red Velvet has a challenge up right now and this is my layout for it.

The challenge was to make a scrapbook page with your favorite quote. I have quite a few...this one is tops for me right now.

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain"-Dolly Parton

The prize is an October Kit so cross your fingers...I would really like to win it!! (This new job of mine has me tapped!)

I put Glossy Accents on the butterflies and only glued down half of them so they looked a-flutter!

These raindrops were so fun to use. They are made by Cloud 9 and I am really loving them!

Other products used:
Sassafras lass "Life is Beautiful" paper (boy was it tuff to cut this paper up...I am SO in love with it)

Bazzill cardstock

Stickles

Our new addition!!

(Or should I say my new addition...hubby doesn't use it)

I've been hunting around lately for a good deal on a sewing machine of my own. I was sooo excited weeks ago to be given my mother's Kenmore and then crushed when it didn't work. I got a great deal on a basic Singer at Target! Not bad for 62.00...especially when it helped me make this pretty!!

This was the April project kit at RVKC. I am soo in love with this bag. I think it came out pretty darn good for a beginner that has never sewn on a sewing machine! I need to make another one now!!!

It took about three hours to do and I have a few ideas already on how I am going to customize the next one!

To see bigger pictures, you can click the images and they will open up bigger.

I used some buttons for the center of the flowers, very last minute. At the end I added the little tag with my initials on it. There is a cute little inner pocket to it that didn't photograph well!

OMG...I need more fabric now!!!

no title thursday

While reading email I jotted down a few things to share.

Right now I am stalking the mailman...for three things!!
1. Yes, "Hello my name is Heather and I stalk my mailman on a monthly basis for this!!". Both the paper and project kit...and I couldn't be more excited!!
2. I am trying to be patient because I am also waiting for my sears partsdirect order containing my instruction booklet for my sewing machine that Mom gave me. Much needed if I am going to try and sew myself up a little RV bag coming in my kit.
3. and for this lovely from Anthropologie!! (It's a anniversary present from hubby)

Next...I have another crazy bird picture to show you. Last night this is how she was for a good two hours.

I have no idea what this means in bird world. Was she a bat in her former life? Does she yearn to be one? Has she been reading all those dark books I have? (just kidding...or am I!!! LOL)I don't know...but she is totally cute doing it!!

Lastly, last night for about an hour I was in a crisis again! I thought I had lost my scrapbooking mojo! Don't laugh at me, it could happen!!!! I had the time and the pictures and no idea's or enthusiasm at all to do anything. Took some advice from the good book I am reading and after my hour I went with it. I pulled out those pictures I have been wanting to get scrapped and I was going to make a totally safe layout...one that I have done before so that they can finally be scrapped and put in my scrapbook. I pulled out my pictures, and that is when it happened. I GOT IT BACK!! I was sorting the pictures, grouping which one I wanted on the pages, and it happened. I got this idea and off I was creating. I can tell you, these are what did it.

These postit's were my inspiration. Before I knew it, I had this plan...for the layout and for something else too! Stay tuned for the final result!!

That's it! Enjoy your Thursday!! I am off to finish dishes and laundry and scrap before I have to go to work!

TLFE

Do you recognize this symbol?

These little symbols decorated many of my notebooks in my younger school years. I was reminded and inspired by it when I sat down to scrap a picture that I just adore from this past valentines day. I used a few things from my February RV kit in this one and a few things that I picked up with a christmas gift card. This was also inspired by challenge 8 over at ScrapMojo. First time I have ever done one of these challenges. Once again...I didn't get it done by the 15th deadline...oops!!

Pink and red are my usual favorite colors and I love this time of year because they are everywhere! Who do you TLFE?

things I am LOVING!!!

((Sorry about all of the links..I really wanted to share some pictures with you all but....blogger isn't letting me upload any of them. Seriously thinking of switching to typepad))

What do you do when it is December and you still have pumpkins sitting on your steps? LOL...you add glue and glitter and call them Christmas Pumpkins!! I had to do something with them and I wasn't ready to get rid of them yet. I'm really thinking of making them a Christmas Traditions.

Few pictures of things I am loving right now...
1. Target has these cute wooden ornaments for 99 cents and I am sooo loving them. Found the hearts and stars a few days ago and scored the tree's today!! SWEET!!!
2. This little baby was an early present from my dear husband...here's another one
3. My favorite spot here in town. Captured this picture with my new camera. It has a cool panoramic feature where it stitches two photo's together. SWEET!!
4. Our NAKED tree!! We decorated it yesterday and I'm gonna get some pictures tonight.
5. The US postal service for delivering this little baby!! Can't wait to create with it.
6. Flickr...need I say more!!

3 little MEN from NJ

These little babies are going out in the mail today to my 3 swap partners. They are part of the Red Velvet ornament Swap. No matter where I put them or hung them, I couldn't get a good clear picture of them. I really need to tone up my photo taking skills!! Help is appreciated from anyone willing. LOL

::pout::pout::

Darn Darn Darn!! I missed the November Paper Kit from RV. ::pout::pout:: I blame it on the doubles I am forced to work to keep up this fabulous life style I have (yeah ok)!

Been busy here with stuff around the house and work. Been patiently awaiting the arrival of my October project kit. I have such an idea for it....has anyone guessed what it may be?

I am off to relax on the couch and wait for Grey's to come on.

My "Soft Landing Place" found

Here is the project I just got done with. The front of the book was created using the RV "my soft landing place" kit.

I just finshed up the inner pages using this months RV kit.

I have soooo much left over from these kits, that I am going to see what else I can cook up. I really encourage you all to try a RV kit! They are a true inspiration!!
Hugs and Happy Scrapping!
