Some things I am loving about today....


~Our cat that ran away a week ago came back during the night

~I only have to work 4 hours today

~My scrap stuff is almost unpacked and my desk is cleared off (EEK!!!)

~As always...I am loving the Craft Critique



~True Blood is on tonight....seriously good show peeps....check it out...my favorite show right now ( did I really just type the word peeps??? I need to create...I am losing it)

~That I am finally getting back to blogging....finally getting rid of some of the moving boxes (I dislike cardboard boxes at the moment)....that I will finally get to create something after work today for the first time since the move!!

I really can't wait till the weekend but it's not to have some fun. It's to be done with this moving stuff! Seriously, I am sooo over it!

All I wanna do is find my new very small scrap area and unpack my stuff! I am seriously in need of me time to create. (and I seriously need to get caught up on design team stuff before they kick me out)

Kinda bummed!!

I haven't had much time to blog or do anything creative for some time now. Life seems to want to not let me. :( (it really feels like forever since I have been able to even check my email)

We have been really busy packing and getting ready for our move next week. The part that is really bumming me out now is that my craft room is packed and it looks like we wont have much room in the new place for my little creative area. I think I am going to lose my mind!! (seriously)

Hubby keeps promising to find a little room for me to be creative so everyone please keep your fingers crossed for me. I am hoping we make something work or I am going to have to give up my design team position and other commitments that I have just made.

In the little bit of down time that I have had here and there I have been doing alot of sketching and writing down my ideas that pop into my head. I think it's what is keeping me going!

The GOOD, the BAD, and the HORRIBLE all in one JOLLY post!

This picture was taken before I sat down at my desk yesterday....I can't even see the table top now...no joke!!

I've been thinking about my December Daily album all month long. I've only had time to make the covers for the album until last night. Last I put together Day 1 to Day 6!! I really wish I could have started doing a page a night but there is no way. I've been sending myself texts and emails of what our days have consisted of and yesterday I made a list of all of the things that we have done this month so far and another list of what pictures I want where in the album. I plan putting more of it together tonight. Usually being 17 days {or more} behind on a project like this would stress me out but I am not stressed. Usually NOT having a ton of pictures for every day would leave me stressed too. I have to credit reading Ali Edwards book and and being a fan of her blog for my new scrapbooking attitude. I know I don't have to have a million perfect pictures because it is not about that. It is about our memories and what we would want to look back on and remember. so this December album is more of a journal and more me!! (me with the new attitude thanks to AE)

I've also been thinking of our 2009 word (that's a whole other list in itself) and trying to pinpoint one that is US!

Another reason that I am not stressing about not having a ton of pictures is because, this year we are really in the Christmas/celebrating mood. This holiday season SUCKS!!

We haven't been enjoying much at all to tell you the truth. We have not wanted to do anything that related to the holiday season at all. We contemplated not even celebrating (which would have worked for me). We are saddened this Christmas and heartbroken over the loss of Jesse. I'm going to keep it brief. Jesse is my brother in law. He is a kindhearted funny genius!!! He is the smartest person I have ever known and will ever know. He was taken from us. He was taken in May of this year by Leukemia when he was only 28 years old. We are going though the motions here and it is only for Jesse that we are doing that.

Today is going to consist of getting those last minute gifts bought (because that is the proper thing that someone does in the holiday season), making lists for the new year (to keep my mind off of everything that I cant keep my mind off of) , and enjoying the last of the days before the big day. Lately we haven't been enjoying the day (see above). Oh, and work....speaking of that I am late! More later (hopefully)!

I chose to spend this Friday night on the couch with some spiked hot cocoa (yes I spiked it) and my crocheting. I really needed the relaxing time!!

One of these winters I will be done with the blanket that I start a year ago for my sweetie...LOL...I have a really patient husband :)

I am here...

I missed my little blog and my blog friends. I will be posting more now....the hiatus is over!!

After a rough few weeks, it is time to get back into life. A death in the family has left us distraught and mad and sad! Thank you for all of the kind words! i will be posting more about it as soon as we are ready!

Happy Place?

While reading blogs and checking email this morning, trying to find my happy place, I came along this site...Inspire Me Thursday. It is a lovely site filled with inspiration. After just 10 minutes it has me full of ideas and has me jotting away in my notebook. I'm definitely closer to my happy place now!!

Finding my happy place is usually not hard. There are a few things that are a sure thing to work on me:
~listening to anything from "LIVE"
~Episode 50 of Sex and The City
~snuggling with hubby
~watching my favorite movie "while you were sleeping"

...I'm a little more upbeat!! (just a little!!)

...I'm working on a layout for a challenge on one of my yahoo scrapping groups. 7 pictures, 7 Buttons, 7 Brads, 7 letter title, and 7 of something my choice!! OMG...think I have an idea

...I'm dreading going to work!! (Ugh!!! Why can't I win the lottery!!)

...I have to start planning what I'm doing for this. (yes, I didn't even snap it yet)

...I'm in awe that it is May!!!

...I'm thinking of something cool to do to celebrate my 100th blog post that it coming really soon. Any ideas?? Maybe a contest, a challenge, or a giveaway!! Thinking of sending a little packet of scrap things out to random people and see what they can do with them.

What are some of your favorite things right now?

...almost there!!!

I'm feeling better than I was in my last post...even though I should be feeling worse with all of the things going on in my life.

I took some time for myself this morning...took advantage of the gray day outside and that hubby was sleeping in. I took a cup of tea and some chocolate to the couch and vegged out.

Before I knew it, I was feeling the gray spirit that had taken over me lift. I picked up this book I've been reading and in 30 minutes had a few lists going and some creative juices flowing. I started thinking of the little things in life that made me happy, and some of the things that I wanted to create and accomplish. I did some journaling for the first time in months!! The big picture came back into focus and I felt happier than I was!!

I have to get a few things accomplished while I am on this high!! Some pictures...to share because you know I don't like to leave a post without pictures!

Help

I'm gonna need some help to pull me out of the mood I woke up in today. (I seriously tried going back to sleep and getting up on the other side...it was no help)

Ughhh...it's raining again!! It is soo not helping!


This little one may look cute and all, but today I am calling her bipolar cujo!! It is not even 9:30AM and I am already sporting a bandaid on my hand from her!


This cute project kinda perked me up...kinda!!

This and this... (Also seen here)... are on their way to me, and even they aren't helping me right now!

Maybe if I tried going back to sleep on the couch and waking up it would help!

Bummed!!

Sooo bummed about this!! I am going to miss Polaroid! I pulled out our camera and I am going to pick up some film for a little project. I might have to put some away for the future as well!

I am sitting here remembering all of the polaroid pics we have from when me and my siblings were little. It's bringing back some really cool memories! On a good note...here's a cool site celebrating our favorite instant film!

Do you feel what I feel..

Lately I have been doing alot of other crafts besides scrapbooking. Crocheting and working through this holiday week has been taking up my time. Today I plan on sitting in my scrap area, and after a quick clean up, I am going to make something!

I am feeling the need to get back there! I have always said that scrapbooking is my outlet, my therapy. It's the cure all for what ales ya! LOL

This is also an area where I have WIP's (works in progress..a crochetville abbreviation for ya). They all get done in their own time. I am think of making a goal to get one of them done soon.

Here is a really bad picture(from my camera phone) of those photo holders I mentioned a while back. I got them at Pier One months ago and I plan on making little scrap pages to go in them for Christmas presents.


I am still waiting on that battery cover for my camera, so please bear with me as I share a few more camera phone pictures. Apples and Clemintines from my counter...hubby likes clemintines now too so i can buy them without them going bad.


Some nuts....Hubby's family always has a bowl of mixed nuts and a cracker out around the holidays...it is something that they have always done, so I got these for him. It's a tradiotion for us now too!!

Darn Darn Darn!! I missed the November Paper Kit from RV. ::pout::pout:: I blame it on the doubles I am forced to work to keep up this fabulous life style I have (yeah ok)!

Been busy here with stuff around the house and work. Been patiently awaiting the arrival of my October project kit. I have such an idea for it....has anyone guessed what it may be?

I am off to relax on the couch and wait for Grey's to come on.
