3 product challenge {and then some}

I finally got to take some pictures of what I made for my 3 product challenge! I decided to take my three things and create a mini book. Here is what I came up with...

I'm just waiting to get in those last photo's of summer before I start the inside pages. I think I am really liking the zipper closure! Might have to try that again on something! Look what have you started Lisa!!!!!!!!

Just snapped a few pictures of the table that I added to the craft area. It's the new home for my sewing machine..finally I won't have to lug it around when I want to sew something. Just a few pictures from the table...

Found these little glasses that fit together nicely at an antique shop! They are perfect for the little things and look cute on my new table!

I ::heart:: WEdNesday

...because it is my favorite day of the week. ((I would love to explain to you all why, but it's a long story!!)) Maybe I will on a scrapbook page sometime soon! :)

Today we are all set to relax by the family pool and catch some rays! This little guy is up to 18 lbs at just 10 weeks and he is going to the doctor for another puppy visit today!

Today I went on an inspiration road trip from the comfort of my own computer. Sometimes following links brings you to some sweet things! (an idea brought about through Ali's book that I am reading...see previous post)

New word-up at OLW...go see it NOW

Found lots of info today on some creative classes while visiting this blog :Eye candy and I am psyched for this one.

Can't wait to see what happens this month here....which really makes me want to make one of these and a few of these and a whole lot of these little sweeties!!!

What do you ::heart:: about today?

Random Things and More

Today on my NJ Scrapping group there was a post for random things about yourself. Here are 5 Random me things:

1. I am a tea drinker and I save the little tags on my Red Rose tea bags (for a huge project someday).

2. I have a thing for blog's...I check about 25 on a regular basis.

3. I love all animals but cannot stand bugs of any kind!! They really gross me out!!

4. I text ALOT....I would rather text a person that call them (the shy person in me I guess)

5. I broke the needle on my sewing machine this morning and scrapped the project I had just started

Here is the proof for Number 5...it is my little garbage can in the scrap room!! The little needle just snapped in half!! Very sad because I was soooo excited about making it, especially because for the first time I took my little sewing machine off of the straight stitch and tried a zig zag :( I saved the little broken needle. I might have to scrap it. :)

I am traumatized over this needle thing, so that is it for now. My goal for today is to take some pictures for a few projects I am working on before I have to go to work.

Diana!!!

A few weeks ago, I was picked to test a great new pattern by Ginny at iSew!! This is the Diana bag that I made from her pattern.I definitely think it is my new favorite bag. I just need a matching wallet to go with it!!!

This is a really bad picture of the inside. There are 4 little pockets in it to hold my cell phone, wallet, pen, and lip gloss.

Check out Ginny's iSew etsy for some great handmade bags and MONKEYS!!!!! (I ::heart:: her monkeys!!)

Our new addition!!

(Or should I say my new addition...hubby doesn't use it)

I've been hunting around lately for a good deal on a sewing machine of my own. I was sooo excited weeks ago to be given my mother's Kenmore and then crushed when it didn't work. I got a great deal on a basic Singer at Target! Not bad for 62.00...especially when it helped me make this pretty!!

This was the April project kit at RVKC. I am soo in love with this bag. I think it came out pretty darn good for a beginner that has never sewn on a sewing machine! I need to make another one now!!!

It took about three hours to do and I have a few ideas already on how I am going to customize the next one!

To see bigger pictures, you can click the images and they will open up bigger.

I used some buttons for the center of the flowers, very last minute. At the end I added the little tag with my initials on it. There is a cute little inner pocket to it that didn't photograph well!

OMG...I need more fabric now!!!

Heather

no title thursday

While reading email I jotted down a few things to share.

Right now I am stalking the mailman...for three things!!
1. Yes, "Hello my name is Heather and I stalk my mailman on a monthly basis for this!!". Both the paper and project kit...and I couldn't be more excited!!
2. I am trying to be patient because I am also waiting for my sears partsdirect order containing my instruction booklet for my sewing machine that Mom gave me. Much needed if I am going to try and sew myself up a little RV bag coming in my kit.
3. and for this lovely from Anthropologie!! (It's a anniversary present from hubby)

Next...I have another crazy bird picture to show you. Last night this is how she was for a good two hours.

I have no idea what this means in bird world. Was she a bat in her former life? Does she yearn to be one? Has she been reading all those dark books I have? (just kidding...or am I!!! LOL)I don't know...but she is totally cute doing it!!

Lastly, last night for about an hour I was in a crisis again! I thought I had lost my scrapbooking mojo! Don't laugh at me, it could happen!!!! I had the time and the pictures and no idea's or enthusiasm at all to do anything. Took some advice from the good book I am reading and after my hour I went with it. I pulled out those pictures I have been wanting to get scrapped and I was going to make a totally safe layout...one that I have done before so that they can finally be scrapped and put in my scrapbook. I pulled out my pictures, and that is when it happened. I GOT IT BACK!! I was sorting the pictures, grouping which one I wanted on the pages, and it happened. I got this idea and off I was creating. I can tell you, these are what did it.

These postit's were my inspiration. Before I knew it, I had this plan...for the layout and for something else too! Stay tuned for the final result!!

That's it! Enjoy your Thursday!! I am off to finish dishes and laundry and scrap before I have to go to work!

Heather

Weekend Creative

I've been wanting to try one of the weekend creative projects that this inspiring woman has been posting on her blog but I haven't had the chance to till now. Ali posted a cute valentines book and tonight I made one for Jeremy as a anniversary surprise.

I started it early, because I didn't know how long it would take since I was hand stitching everything. Would you believe it took a little under 2 hours to finish? I am loving these projects!!

Here it is:

I am psyched that this is complete and that all I have to do is add journaling. I think my favorite part of the book is the inside cover where you can see a heart stitched from the front cover heart.

I am working on a few other sewing surprises for him!

3 little MEN from NJ

These little babies are going out in the mail today to my 3 swap partners. They are part of the Red Velvet ornament Swap. No matter where I put them or hung them, I couldn't get a good clear picture of them. I really need to tone up my photo taking skills!! Help is appreciated from anyone willing. LOL

My "Soft Landing Place" found

Here is the project I just got done with. The front of the book was created using the RV "my soft landing place" kit.

I just finshed up the inner pages using this months RV kit.

I have soooo much left over from these kits, that I am going to see what else I can cook up. I really encourage you all to try a RV kit! They are a true inspiration!!
Hugs and Happy Scrapping!

Sweet Surprise

A few days ago a sweet surprise landed at my doorstep! I received a RV project kit and it inspired me to make this:

Here is the inside cover. I am putting our address on the little tag:

The album is 6x6 and I got it for a dollar at Target. I have alot left over from this kit so I am going to start another one for pictures of our old place! I sewed everything on it by hand because I am still afraid to break out the sewing machine that mom gave me. I have no idea how to use it but I can tell you one thing....it probally would have made making this cute little book much simpler.

Latley I have been watching the show Knitty Gritty on the DIY network. I love to crochet and I have been wanting to try knitting. I can honestly say that I am done with wanting to try it...LOL...and I give all the credit in the world to anyone who can do it. I tried to pick it up and it is hard!! Think I will stick to my other crafts for now.

Just checked out a few blogs and today I am drolling over the new RV paper kit for this month. Hope I am able to get it before it is sold out! It would really go great with the cute little album!
Hugs and Happy Scrapping,
Heather
